Room Rates May Fall Further

Some of the specials on rooms in Las Vegas right now are really good. They are extremely cheap in a lot of hotels and resorts right now because they are having trouble filling the rooms with customers. So, they are offering cheaper rates to lure you in and to earn your business.

Well, if some of those hotels thought it was already tough to fill the rooms, wait until CityCenter and Fontainebleau opens by the years end and there are another 12,000 rooms avaiable in Vegas. Then, times may get tougher.

I just read that a lot of hotel officials are concerned about this and they say they may have to drop room rates even further to draw in business. Many places are afraid they won't be able to charge enough to keep their business's open.

I've gotten more discount coupons from my last Las Vegas visit than all my other visits combined.

And all those coupons are from different casinos.

This is a cryng shame that this is what America has come to. We ar3e suppose to be one of the riches nations in the world! How does this make us look to other countries? Gives you something to think about.

Now there is something else to make things even worse than they were already. The swine flu.

Who is going to want to take a trip now to any crowded place and take the risk of getting this dangerous flu? Not me thats for sure! The airplane ride alone being closed in with other people is enough to scare me!

This flu is bad news for Las Vegas I think. I think people are going to avoid all the major vacation destinations right now and the economy is going to take another blow.

Hotels are going to be doing whatever they can to bring people in but I don't think too many will be tempted. Casinos will see less players so they will take a hit as well.

The timing couldn't be worse for this flu although I did read somewhere that they do have a vaccine in the works. Lets hope they work fast on it!
