I heard that a lot of people who have tried to enjoy the swimming pool outside of the Vdara Hotel in CityCenter have been baked by the sun because of the reflective glass on the south side of the building.
They have dubbed the problem as being fried by a "death ray".
The reflective glass, which is meant to help keep the heat out of the building, actually makes the sun reflect intensly down on the swimming pool area.
It is said that the reflective energy is actually enough to singe hair and melt plastic cups.
They had thought that it might cause a problem so they put a light-scattering film on the glass but apparently it isn't working.
I guess they have another solution in the works.
