Default Tropicana Got a $180 Mil New Look

The Tropicana got a $180 million dollar overhaul so that they can compete with the newer hotel and casinos. The owners said they want people to know that it's not their parents casino. It's modern and has lots to offer.

The Tropicana was built in 1957. It still boasted of the styles of that era.

As you can imagine lots of changes have been made with the $180 million.

The entrance has all been redone along with all of the 1,400 hotel rooms in the two towers. They added more convention space and more restaurants as well. The new style is based on South Beach, Saint Tropez and Morocco.

"The objective was to create an emotionally engaging environment that is bright, that is fresh, that is colorful and makes customers feel good — feel as if they're in a resort — and feel a sense of understated elegance," Yemenidjian told The Associated Press.
They are hoping that the changes will help to attract more customers.
