Big jackpot wins

A young man put $3 into a Megabucks slot machine and gave it a spin. Less than a minute later, he won $38.7 million, a record at that time for the largest slot machine jackpot ever paid out. Wish that was me.

A young man from England who visited,Las Vegas,inserted his last $2 into the machine, and took home ten thousand dollars.

Was this luck for these young men? Did they use some type of special inside knowledge? I would love to know before the next time I play a slot machine.

My wife and I use to go to a casino, over 2 hours away, twice a year.

We were leaving and my wife had $20 left over. She put it in a $5 machine and on her first spin got 777 for 80 coins.
It doesn't sound like much, but 80-$5 coins is $400!

That was pretty awesome in my book.

I have been to a casino once in my life,it was a honeymoon thing.We went to Carlestown West Virginia,at the race track.I went and took a look first at the race track,it was huge and nice.Computer screens at every table,for betting.A full bar and resteraunt,surrounded by glass all the way around,fo you can see the race.

Then we went in the casino and we started with fifty bucks and played all day.We won about five hundred dollars,though we lost it all before we left we had a blast.On the way out I found a fifty cent piece at the door and the date on it was 1974,that is the year that I was born,I still have that fifty cent piece today.I keep it for luck.

Sounds like you had a good time on 50 bucks anita.
Wish it were only that much we could play, but with our long drive we expect to bring a little more, and the fact we don't visit the land casinos very often.

If you ever go to Las Vegas, be sure to bring your lucky 50 cent piece with you.
Who knows, you might get lucky with it.

I have something simular, to that from the casino we use to visit quite often, Harah's in Cherokee.
It's a dollar piece that's not too worn out so you can read where it's from.
Good thing I'm holding on to it too since they don't use coins up there anymore, except for maybe on a few machines (don't know right now, haven't been up there in a long while).

Nice win there for 5 bucks..LOL I wish I had that luck.

Though I have come out a little ahead each time I have been to Vegas, so I guess my luck there is not to bad. I would really love to hit a good sized jackpot one day.
