Default Early slot machines and how they worked

Slot machines have come a long way since the first ones were developed.

Back in the day, those slot machines were driven by mechanical devices. The machines had reels and levers that comprised the inner workings of these slot machines.

Of course the machines had symbols on the reels, but there was only one payline, and what came up on that one line determined what you won.

These days, slot machines are computer driven and have a RNG, or Random Number Generator.

Todays machines are set up so that you can play up to 100 lines, have stackable wilds, and there are even wrap around slots.

Imagine trying to win on those first slot machines!! I bet it didnt happen often.

You are so right about those old slot machines not winning very often.

My ex-wife and I spent our honeymoon in Reno Nevada and we sat at this nickle slot machine for about an hour taking turns plunking in the nickles and pulling the lever.

After our first half hour, a couple doing the same thing on a dollar machine won a jackpot right up the row from us.
They said they had spent nearly 6 hours and close to $1,500, but they won just over $10,000!

Ok, now that's cool. Thirty minutes later, and about $50 in nickles, we hit a nice little jackpot ourselves for $100. We decided to take the winnings and leave.

The newer slot machines do pay out more often giving a player better game play and excitement with free spins and bonus rounds.

I do like the improvement of today's slots, plus it's much more sanitary (although you can still catch germs from the buttons).

Look at the detail on those machines! They are really neat I think. They might not be as fun as the new ones but they sure did design them nice!
