Default Slot Cheaters

Two listed cheats in Nevada's Black Book and their accomplice, a woman, plead guilty today of a slot machine scam they used at several Las Vegas casinos.

Susan Lewanda plead guilty to conspiracy to cheat at gambling. Michael McNeive plead guilty to using a cheating device in a slot machine as did William Cushing.

Las Vegas Sun

All three will be sentenced on January 5th of 2010.

I guess Lewanda and Cushing would stand watch at the slot machines while McNeive would insert the device and then insert $1.00 bills. The device made the slot machines read them as $100.00 dollar bills. They were caught on tape.

They were caught doing this at Boulder Station and Fiesta Rancho back in 2006.

This is not the first time the two men have been involved in these sorts of scams. They were both already listed in the Black Book.

I am glad that these men were caught. I just wonder how much the casinos lost because of their device changing dollar bills into hundreds.

You would think that the slot machines would have some kind of security device in them that would set off an alarm if an unknown device was inserted into the machine!

Though at least they were caught and their crime spree has come to an unhappy end for them.

Technology these days is unbelievable. It seems like crooks are always one step ahead of the game too, that doesn't help matters. I am also glad they were caught. What I read didn't estimate the amount of $1.00 bills they got converted to $100.00 bills. I imagine they did it a lot though.

There's going to be a lot of video tape editing on these criminals.

They will probably be fined for the money they stole, the time it took to search video tapes in the places they stole in, and a big federal fine on top of that.

I'm thinking it may have cost them close to, if not more than, a million dollars for their fiasco.

Good riddens and I hope they will catch more of the likes of those thieves.
