Default Slot info

In the 1980's slot machines surpassed table games like craps and blackjack as the most popular game in the casino.

Slots and video poker now account for more than 70% of the casino's total take. The surge in popularity is due to bigger jackpots.

Computerized virtual reels makes it harder to hit the top jackpot, and since the jackpot will be hit less often the casino can make the jackpot a larger amount.

Slots offer the ability to win a lot of money for a small bet. If you put $5 on a blackjack table the most you can win is $7.50. But $3 in a slot machine could net you thousands or even millions.

The slots have always been my favorite, simply because you can stick a $20 bill in a penny machine and walk away with $300 or better just from a little game play.

But how do you tell which machines may hit? It is said that machines on the outside of rows of machines may be more prone to hit than others because people passing by would see the win and be more apt to play thinking they may win too.

Machines near the cashiers booth are also more likely to hit, again for the same reason. People can see and hear the machines when hit and it would pique their curiosity as to perhaps they could also win.

It is also said that the very loud machines could also be winners as the sound of the machine going off on a win can be easily heard and possibly induce more people to play the slots.

At any rate, good luck on your slot playing.
